The Savants are a punk band from Tübingen, Germany. Their music is made to "highten the zest for life", according to them - and they are right. If you ever can, catch them live - they are a lot of fun. You can find more info on them over at their website (http://www.the-savants.de/) - in German, though...
"Reason Of Happiness" is a self-organized small one-night Open Air Festival held every year in co-operation betweens pupils from the four Tübingen high-schools. It is held for pupils from these schools only. This year I was asked to take some pictures.
The “Kulturnacht” is a cultural event for all the city’s artists and other people and institutions involved in cultural work to present themselves. The event takes place at night and is taking place every year, alternating between Tübingen and Reutlingen. The community radio station “Freies Radio Wüste Welle“, which I work for, always broadcasts live from these events. The Tübingen one had the overall motto "blauPAUSE" which means something like "blue break" as well as "blueprint". It took place on May 8th.
The Ract! is a youth festival taking place in Tübingen every year. It featured live music on three stages and an assortment of workshops and info booths about political and social topics. There is a political or social theme every year. Admission is free of charge for the concerts and workshops. The festival is organized entirely by young volunteers of the ages of 14 to twenty-something and financed through donations and project grants. If you want to know more or help out, visit them over at www.ract-festival.de. These pictures were taken in the context of our radio station's yearly live broadcast from this event.
The town fair of Tübingen takes place bi-yearly and the community radio station "Freies Radio Wüste Welle" always broadcasts live from the city center. The people on the pictures are mostly from initiatives and association from Tübingen and their sister cities in Russia, Italy, England and France.

These are pictures from the Big Bands first concert in 2011. The live gig took place at the Sudhaus in Tübingen.
